Symmetry mirrors every mark you make across the centre of the canvas—draw half a face and get the whole thing.
Choose a mode from Tools > Symmetry:

| Off | No mirroring. |
| Horizontal | Left ↔ right, across the vertical centre line. |
| Vertical | Top ↕ bottom, across the horizontal centre line. |
| Both | Four-way: horizontal, vertical, and both together. |
Symmetry applies to the Pencil, Pen, Airbrush, Eraser, Colour Shift, Clone, Line, Rectangle, Oval, and all Fill variants (including gradient fills). The Smudge tool is the one drawing tool that doesn’t mirror.
