Vanishing Point straightens, crops, cleans up backgrounds, and adjusts colour so your images look clean.

Perspective Correction

  • Four correction tools: 4-Point, Vertical Lines, Horizontal Lines, and 8-Point
  • Drag corner handles or draw edge lines on the image
  • Select corners with 1234 keys, nudge with arrow keys
  • Auto-Detect finds rectangles using Apple Vision
  • Pick Mode lets you view and cycle through multiple detected rectangles
  • Fine-tune with Intensity, Up/Down, Left/Right, and H/V Ratio sliders

Presets

  • 256 built-in presets with real-world aspect ratios
  • Automatically locks crop to the selected preset dimensions
  • Covers floppy disks, optical media, tapes, game cartridges, vinyl records, photo and print formats, film and slides, cards, and more
  • Create your own custom presets with millimetre dimensions

Cropping

  • Drag handles to define the exact region to export
  • Aspect ratio locks to the selected media preset
  • Auto Crop detects content boundaries automatically
  • Pixel dimensions and aspect ratio displayed while cropping

Background Removal

  • Vision-based foreground detection with morphological refinement
  • Threshold, straightening, and feathering controls for clean edges
  • Colour-based removal: click to sample colours with tolerance control
  • Multiple colour samples with contiguous region toggle per sample
  • Layer Vision mask and colour removal together
  • Nudge colour samples with arrow keys, delete with ⌫
  • Exports as PNG with transparency

Colour & Tone Adjustments

  • Levels (black and white points), Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Saturation, Sharpness
  • Auto Levels with per-channel histogram analysis
  • Real-time preview on the canvas

Export

  • PNG with transparency, TIFF, or JPG
  • Define multiple export sizes and batch export in one operation

Viewing & Navigation

  • ⌘+ Zoom In, ⌘- Zoom Out, ⌘1 Actual Size, ⌘0 Fit to Window
  • Hold spacebar to pan, or ⌥+click+drag
  • Press G to toggle the original image, H to hide overlays
  • X Correct, C Crop, V Cutout, ⇥ to cycle modes
  • R to reset all corrections
