Preface

In the Worlds before Monkey,
Primal chaos reigned, Heaven sought order.
But the Phoenix can fly only when its feathers are grown.
The four worlds formed again and yet again,
As endless aeons wheeled and passed.
Time and the pure essences of Heaven,
The moistures of the Earth,
And the powers of the Sun and the Moon
All worked upon a certain rock - old as Creation,
And it magically became fertile.
That first egg was named Thought,
Tathagata Buddha, the Father Buddha,
Said, 'With our thoughts we make the world.'
Elemantal forces caused the egg to hatch,
from it then came a stone Monkey.
The nature of Monkey was irrepressable!

Introduction

Born from an egg on a mountain top,
Funkiest Monkey that ever popped,
He knew every magic trick under the sun,
Tease the Gods and everyone can have some fun.
Monkey magic, Monkey magic,
Monkey magic, Monkey magic,
Monkey magic, Monkey magic ooh!

Additional Verse

What a cocky, saucey Monkey this one is.
All the Gods were angry and they punished him.
Until he was saved by a kindly priest,
And that was the start of their pilgrimage quest.
Monkey magic, Monkey magic,
Monkey magic, Monkey magic,
Monkey magic, Monkey magic,
Monkey magic, Monkey magic ooh!

A long time ago, when men were all babes,
There was a land of the free.
Fantasy and dreams were it's untouched wealth,
And goodness and love were real.
Each man desires to reach Gandhara,
His very own Utopia,
In the striving and the seeking soul,
Man can see Gandhara.
In Gandhara, Gandhara they say it was in India,
Gandhara, Gandhara the place of life Gandhara.
Gandhara, Gandhara they say it was in India,
Gandhara, Gandhara the place of life Gandhara.
